Project Details

Lockflow is one of the leaders in the online MMA arena, delivering news, reviews, as well as education on the various skills of the sport.

Lockflow already had an existing website in place when Visionology was brought in to improve the layout and flow of the homepage, structure and design of the website as a whole, and to bring more focus to the advertising in a less is more approach.

The first step was to flush out the existing content and the importance of the existing elements of the website. This gave us a good ground to start on when reformulating the layout. Instead of a cluttered 3 column approach it was decided to use a 2 column with an extended third column for advertising only. Before one of the major problems was how overwhelming the advertising was to the website.

The design was based around an MMA grunge look with little elements of wire and metal integrated with the rest of the website which was very clean. Black, white, and red used throughout helped to emphasize this look without needing an overwhelming number of graphics to create the effect. This new layout makes the information more legible, advertising more clear, and gives a whole new flexibility with updates.
